SUPERTUBOS, Peniche/Portugal (Monday, October 15, 2012) – Round 3 of the Rip Curl Pro Portugal, Stop No. 8 of 10 on the 2012 ASP World Championship Tour, has been called ON this morning, commencing at 11:30am in clean two-to-three foot (1 metre) waves at Supertubos.
“It’s not the classic Supertubos we’re all hoping for, but it’s clean and we’re going to make the most of what we have available,” Rich Porta, ASP International Head Judge, said. “Good luck to all our competitors today.”
Up first this morning will be John John Florence (HAW), 19, up against Travis Logie (ZAF), 31, in Heat 1 of Round 3 at the Rip Curl Pro Portugal.
